Seychelles is situated in Indian Ocean and is composed of 115 islands. Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve is also a very famous site of Seychelles that was also declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1983 and is situated in the Praslin Island. In 1996, it was officially stated as the natural reserve because it houses a wide agglomeration of endemic Coco de Mer and palm forest. Apart from it the park also offer shelter to reptiles,snails, crustaceans, mammals and a variety of bird life including the rare species of Black Parrot.
